1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the eqqo mobile and desktop applications ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to all of these terms, do not use the App.

2. Service Description & Companion Layer

eqqo is an interactive social companion and timeline synchronization platform for publicly broadcast media. We do not provide, host, reproduce, or stream audio or video content. Media synchronization relies on transient acoustic timecode matching and external open metadata registries; we do not guarantee the real-time availability or accuracy of any specific broadcast or title.

3. TMDb API Attribution

This product uses the TMDb API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDb. Movie and TV metadata and artwork are provided by The Movie Database.

4. DMCA & Copyright Policy

We respect the intellectual property of others. Since eqqo allows user-generated comments, we follow the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). If you believe your copyrighted work has been reproduced in our comment sections without authorization, you may submit a takedown request to our designated agent at contact@eqqosync.com.

5. User Conduct & Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use the App to:

• Post abusive, hateful, or harassing content.
• Spoil media for others during restricted community spoiler windows.
• Attempt to scrape, reverse-engineer, or spam the eqqo API.
• Impersonate other users or administrators.

6. Privacy & Data Intelligence

Your privacy is governed by our Privacy Policy. We collect minimal data necessary for identity and synchronization services. We never sell your personal contact information or credentials. You acknowledge that eqqo may generate and license aggregated, non-personally identifiable audience engagement trends and media sentiment analytics as described in our Privacy Policy.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. WE EXPRESSLY DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

8. Limitation of Liability

IN NO EVENT SHALL eqqo, ITS OFFICERS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
